How Our Abba Father Give Gifts

“You fathers—if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”

Luke 11:11-13 NIV

As a sinful father, we still want the best for our sons and daughters. Knowing this verse, it is so wonderful that Our Abba Father knows what is best for us. I don’t have to worry about my future knowing that I have an Abba Father. He gives us the Holy Spirit so that in times of trouble and distress, we have a guide and protector that leads us to Our Father. He gives the best gift for those who ask him. Always talk to him in prayer.

Thank you Abba Father for teaching me to give good gifts to my children. Thank you that you always give what is best for us. Amen.

Devo : Give the Gift of Time

Lord, help me see and seize those little opportunities to hang out with my spouse. To be his or her best friend. Help me to see that you want me to be the person who lifts my spouse up, who comes alongside, who walks the road together. Help me be the best friend

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:9‭-‬12 ESV

God is the god of order and peace

As parents, our children will imitate what and how they see in us.

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals,
2 Chronicles 17:3 ESV

We as parents should be able to obey Jesus commands so that our children will be able to learn, know and obey God as well.

So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Matthew 5:23‭-‬24 ESV

The bible teach us how to reconcile, how not to get angry and to strengthen each other through faith.

but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22:32 ESV

Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
