Letter to Johan – 9th Birthday

Dear Johan ko, happy happy birthday! My nanay-heart is very grateful to God for giving you to our family being a loving son to your daddy and me and very sweet brother to Joshua (kahit away kayo ng away! 🙂 You are already 9 years old, I cant believe it that 9 years have already flew by. It’s just like yesterday to me when we first learned that you are in my tummy! You have made me experience for the very first time how it it is to be a Nanay.

So how do I describe my 9-year old baby?

You have grown-up a lot 🙁 But now I am happy when you say I love you, or hug me and kiss me.. and even your messages sa chat make me smile 🙂

This year ate Jhean did not come back in January. I was so worried that you will miss her because she is the one taking care of you after school. But I’m glad you are resilient and getting by. I’m glad also that you are able to talk to her via video call and was able to say that she is now getting married.

1pm is your time for phone..you really liked Minecraft a lot

You are doing well in chess.. you always ask me to play with you, lagi mo ako natatalo hahaha. We enrolled sa school ng chess with your fellow Grade 3 classmates with Coach Chester, and now na bakasyon na, you enrolled online 🙂 So far you are enjoying the online classes. You are getting magaling!

Your friends invited to your birthday: Jaden, Bene, Mav, Joco, Basti, Enzo, Melo, Shara, Stella, Julianne, Lily, Luna, Kaya, Athena. You had fun in Timezone and also playing beyblades.

I am happy that you are enjoying Beyblade 🙂 You have now a full collection! Ang mahal pa naman ng bey, around 600-1000pesos, so imagine now you have 16 beys..we have almost 16K worth of it.

Favorite books lately – Wimpy Kid (you have just started recently), Almanac for kids, trivias and educational books

Inspired by tyhe Wimpy Kid, you have started journaling 🙂 It looks good because you have stickers on it. You have been writing here from time to time.

You always kiss me and hug me randomly during the day, I really love it. Thank you bibi!

Favorite color – still red!

Favorite food – Pandesal sa umaga (nagpapabili ka kay daddy) Cheerios, Krit, I’m glad you are liking choclates, your typical baon is rice + pritong fish or chicken or nilaga. You like the danggit that Grandma Ting sends over 🙂 Typical snacks at school is tinapay, mamon, egg hardbolied (white only)

You have learned how to swim through swimming classes here in Asteria! You and Joshua are both comfortable in the pool (as long as you can stand on it) and you can float and stay submerged in water 🙂 So proud of your progress back when you were so scared in the water. Now, you are enjoying the eater. During Stella’s birthday celebration, you’ve been in the pool since we arrived at 2pm up to 7pm. Di man lang nilamig hehehe.

You still play Lego from time to time with Joshua 🙂

You have played violin at 8years old…I’m so proud of you, ang galling mo e. You have no stage fright at all and able to do your recital so well!

You are always reminding daddy to lead the prayer before going to sleep. I cant thank Jesus enough for this.

Even with minimal study, your grades are very high! We got your final report card and your lowest is 97. So proud of you bibi ko.

You don’t like to wear polo shirts (button downs) and your shirt size is now 140…how time flies 😐

You’re growing too fast that our show size is almost the same. Even your height, you’re now sa may chin ko. Looking forward to more adventures with you and Joshua and Daddy and you keep growing tall to a fine young man.

I love you, always and forever.

Love,

Nanay
