Nanay Chronicles

Breastfeeding Joshua

Breastfeeding is one heck of a rollercoaster experience in my motherhood. Painful, exhausting, nakakangalay, seemingly unending, but at the same time can burst tears of joy, happiness, oxitocin, and just pure love.

Thanks to my thoughtful hubby who took this picture randomly earlier while I breastfed Joshua 🥰

I would not have it another way. Breastfeeding is selflessness, giving my all physically and emotionally. And yet it fills me up to the brim–overflowing love and life for my babies.

I would do it again for another 3 years (and beyond!) through and ONLY by GOD’s grace. Thankful to God for giving me a husband who is ALL support to this journey. If not for his help and encouragement, I have given up a long time ago. Salamat hubby. 💖

I love you Johan and Joshua. All of these is worth it for both of you. Nanay loves you 💙💚

Throwback: First Time Nanay

[Hubby and I are both in this mood of “upload-everything-in-Smugmug-NOW” and I came across this photos.]

It’s been 3 years and I can just smile remembering how aligaga I was as first time Nanay. Making sure that my breastmilk are not wasted when I am in the office, I posted these schedule in the walls of our rented condo with all my praning reminders, mostly for Ate Len and Mama Fely (who are taking care of Johan when I’m at work).

Trusting this schedule, Johan was not out of breastmilk even if I was not an over supplier.

Thank you Lord for the grace and guiding us through this period 🙂
