  • Johan is unusually warm maybe due to the vaccine administered yesterday.
  • Johan’s temp as of 3:35 am is 37.4 °C.
  • Joshua needs to manage the burping position, spit ups and vomits.
  • Daddy is frustrated on the Joshua’s diaper change scene then he spit ups with sometimes coughing because of the worry that some liquids (his vomits) might go to his lungs. It is difficult to change diaper while he is upright to prevent spit up.

One night of a mess

12:30 am, wifey woke me up to change Joshua’s diaper as she checked that it has already full of poops. Our last diaper change was 8:30 pm. It was usual for me to change diaper but this time was different.

As I’m changing Joshua’s diaper, cleaning his butt from any residue, he cried, waking up his brother Johan. While managing Joshua’s cry, he also showered with pee making his overall to get wet including the nearby pillow. I have to finish drying him up to subside his cry while I already called wifey to look after Johan. She found out that Johan’s diaper is already full and his pajamas is also wet from his pee. She change Johan’s diaper while I’m still managing to change Joshua’s overall. While I was changing, he then vomits most of his intake milk. I was pressured to finished fast knowing that he may vomit another wave. I need to ensure that all of his footsie and mittens are dry and also his inner cloth. I also need to ensure that no vomit residue has gone inside his ears. He is also having a hiccups from the spit up and vomits and need to sway him to prevent from another loud cry.

Thank God that he is not crying. I started to get frustrated of all the parallel events occurred at this time of night. I thank God for giving me patience to manage my frustration and confusion. I love my wife for supporting me to ensure that Johan is also attended and to help him go back to sleep. Thank God that after all of this mess, Johan and Joshua is already back asleep.
