We tend to live our lives behind filters.
We can go to God without filters.
Identity
Jeremiah 1:4-5
- God created us the way we are now. #GodIs my Creator.
- He “formed” us. When we were created, that’s exactly the face that God planned. Specific. Accurate. With Objective. Deliberate.
- God created you specifically to be you.
- God “knew” me – not an acquaintance. Intimate.
- God knows exactly who we are. Even if sometimes we don’t know exactly who we are.
- Our identity comes from God.
- “you” – God created us personally. Individually. God knows everything about me.
- We can go to God even without filters.
- Why did you form me this way? — vantage point of man, we see the limitations.
- We don’t see what God sees. His ways are higher than our thoughts.
- “I formed..” – in Hebrew, imperfect tense–still ongoing! God is not yet done with you. The best is yet to come.
- I set you apart for me.
Our approval comes from God. We are approved by God. We are His.
