We posted this in our wedding blog site a year ago, after Jaycee proposed to me. I’m still amazed how God has planned everything. Until now, I’m still in awe whenever I look at my husband. For many girls this may be a dream came true, but for me it’s more of God’s love manifested through Jaycee. And it’s just nicely overwhelming <3
About Us
- We love to travel around the Philippines and abroad.
- We are fond of checking out Japanese stores to look for amazing and unusual trinkets.
- We love to walk going home from mall hopping, simple dates, and making long conversations.
- We both love the smell of books and love to spend time in bookstores.
- We love to eat; we are fond of Japanese and Vietnamese cuisines.
- We don’t like rides in amusement parks, we only walk around and eat and watch the brave ones shout from rollercoasters 😐
- Our lives are Christ-centered.
- We are not a perfect couple, but we have a perfect God.
About the Bride
I take pictures, I love cats, I coordinate weddings, I coordinate infrastructure projects, I write/blog, I am very fond of Coke, I want Jollibee spaghetti as ulam sa kanin, I’ve analyzed systems, I’ve been teaching kids for volunteer work since college, I bike, I’ve tried badminton, surfing, yoga, and a lot more!
My life has been blessed ever since I’ve known it, and there’s nothing I can do to thank God but to bring back the glory to Him through the people around me. 🙂

About the Groom
- I’m a geek, gamer, software programmer/developer using C++ and Java. I teach programming and want to know more about computer and devices.
- I love to travel, make travel itineraries and share travel experiences.
- I buy books, and read later.
- I collect bags–backpacks, messenger bags, belt bags, gym bags, cross-body bags and eye bags. I usually travel with a bag for my geek stuff.
- I always have a handkerchief in my pocket when I go out.
- With Juk, I was able to travel more and overcome my fears. She is an answered prayer by God. #GodGaveMeYou
How We Started
This ‘Smart’ story began when after few years of being deadma-hi-hello-officemates, the Author of all love stories started working on ours 🙂 #GodMovesInMysteriousWays
His Version
I didn’t know how it started but I know that we met in the office and get to know each other more in fun run events.
I formally expressed my feelings verbally on September 16, 2010 at Red Mango Greenbelt 3, a day after my birthday. It started with a dinner at John and Yoko (Japanese restaurant) but since the mood of the environment wasn’t that good, I decided that we transfer to Red Mango for dessert.
I received a response from her later on, and then there came “fluffles” and “baby”.
My world changed knowing her and being my girlfriend.
Her Version
As a forever blogger-at-heart, I’ve posted this in my blog when he became my official boyfriend. I am blessed with Jaycee’s life from that day, to now, to forever.
Below is the unedited version of our beginning, from my perspective.
************
it just happened when i least expected it. i didn’t saw it coming. it was not love at first sight–because we’ve been together in the office for years already. i only knew him as someone from Data Team, just a somebody from our department.
it was not an extraordinary, knock-me-right-off-my-feet story–seemingly super normal that i wasn’t even able to post anything about it in my blog! 🙂 started with hi’s and hello’s, and food trips with common friends, and running together after office, and spending afternoons after marathon together. and then he figured it out, and i figured it out (don’t even know which came first, hehe).
one night, i decided to finally allow myself to be happy (and/or sad!). so i told him, yes, kami na (after almost an hour of my questioning regarding his intentions, wehehe).
kala ko dati, hindi na mangyayari na makita ko pa ang hinahanap kong someone.
and so i stopped searching, and that was then i was found 😀
maybe i was just being prepared kaya it took a little while before we saw each other. all the while, jan lang pala sya sa tabi ng cube ko 🙂 God knows what He is doing, isn’t it?
