Before God’s plans unfolded before our eyes, I felt like Abraham’s Sarah who was barren.

No, not that I was already really having infertility problems. But in this age and time when almost all of my batchmates are on their 2nd or 3rd child, or hearing miscarriages here and there of women my age–i  felt an “easy-getting-pregnant” experience for me is not possible.

Throughout the doubt and fear, it was God’s grace that led us. I held on to God’s promise, that I know in my heart is His own promise to me:

She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the time God had said it would. – Genesis 21:2 NLT

And we kept still. I am blessed because Hubby believes and has faith in God (and I guess even much more than I do!). We did not rush.

As you promised God, on your own time.

And yes, God is faithful. It’s actually an understatement. If He promised something, He will stick to it. It will really happen. And He knows how to make a surprise, too. God’s timing is perfect.

I decided to take pregnancy test one morning I was feeling nauseous. At the back of my mind, I feared of getting disappointed (and Hubby too). But I told you, we were strongly holding on to God’s promise.

That day was September 12, 2016. Three days before Hubby’s birthday and five days before mine, we got the best birthday gift ever.

The test came out positive–strong and vivid positive.

All just because God loves us that much!

I couldn’t say anything more. I am just excited for this little one that He gave us <3
